Fun in Chicago

Hey Fam! Sorry it's been so long since I've been on here. Luanne, love the new background! So cute and very festive! Well, things for me have been going pretty well. I'm sure you all heard how Chicago got pounded with its 3rd worst blizzard in over 50 years. It was actually a fun adventure for me and my first time being snowed in! T (my roommate) and I made the best of it and had fun cooking and watching movies. I posted pics up on facebook for ya to see the 3 feet of snow we got in 24 hours. It was nuts!

Another fun adventure was with some friends a few weeks ago. We went to "Your Never Too Old" Prom, which was a fundraiser for some friends of mine who are going to Hatti this summer. What started off as a joke turned into a real deal prom, which most of its attendees are around 10 years out of high school. There was all the elements of prom like a court, chaperones, and prom perfessional pictures. It was pretty funny and entertaining to see some people arrive in 80's attire. My friend and co-worker, Missy (in the center of the picture) was also voted Prom Queen. She never went to prom in high school, but now is titled Prom Queen. I told her "See dreams can come true, even if it's 10 years later!" lol, it was a fun time.

Beth- how fun!!! Thanks for posting AND including a picture:)
My parents said the winter storm was pretty crazy- they felt like their windows were going to blow in! Glad you had a good time with it- to be real honest I wouldn't mind having a day to cozy in. :)

Hey Beth, I love this idea of a "Never Too Old Prom" especially as fund-raiser. What great idea. Thanks for sharing it here.

I have to say that we were pretty happy to be in So. Calif. instead of Chicago or Iowa in those storms. This week we have had rain and snow in the local mts. and some snow even made it to Altadena (maybe La Crescenta too!) on Sun. morning. Still, so far from what you all have had. Glad to hear you are all okay, except for Issaac. We keep praying for him to completely recover.
